Travel To and On Maui
You can get to Maui by nearly all of the leading airlines and carriers from world wide.
Usually you can find a direct flight into Maui–Kahului Airport (OGG) will get you there a little faster, but you may if you wish arrive at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) and then travel across to Maui on one of the smaller commuter planes. Kapalua Airport and Hana Airport are a good bit smaller and you can access those only from the regional airlines and by a private charter plane
Kahului Airport features car rentals and you can also find a taxi or a bus there, as well as one of the shuttle services to take you to a hotel. If you elect to go condo or vacation rental, which many people do, the taxis and buses will provide you a lift for a very reasonable price.
If you decide to island hop while you’re on Maui you will find water transportation is plentiful and you can take a trip to
Molokai and Lanai on what is known as the The Lahaina/Lana’i Passenger Shuttle. The shuttle makes five round-trips each day both to and from from Lahaina Harbor. The Molokai Ferry will also offer you an amazingly beautiful, 90 minute trip that you won’t soon forget between your vacation home in Maui and Molokai.
