Oddly enough February in Venice is absolutely perfect. The  Venice Carnevale takes place in February and the weather is cool and mornings are foggy, which is just about perfect for strolling the streets. Venice is a city to walk, made of canals and small enough to get around in nicely, driving is simply a headache waiting to happen.

Doges Palace is one of the awesome sights, while the prison on the other side of the canals is something you’re going to want to take in, in a spoooky.. ohmigoodness kind of way.

The  Naval History Museum lets you explore the roots of the naval history there if you’re into such things and of course the cuisine in Venice is to die for.
